The timeless Bar Collection, one of our glassworks’ best sellers, is celebrating its 90th anniversary. And to commemorate this occasion, we added an underlaid bowl to this iconic set, whose shape draws inspiration from pre-war-era design but now with an all-new colourway. Thanks to its stature, it’ll become an unmissable design element that captivates every enthusiast of both the pre-war days and hand-cut crystal.

Design and production
Optical play on clear or coloured crystal
In the Bar collection, Rudolf Esschler used a unique Moser method: the crystal glass is formed with abrupt force, followed by a meticulous edge cut. The illusion of melting ice cubes in the clear cut glass, created by the lines, is complemented by the use of typical Moser colours (beryl, eldor, rosaline, alexandrite, aquamarine, topaz) and oceanite and smoke colour shades. In 2019, two glass sizes in underlaid colours were added. For the most demanding customers and for exceptional occasions, the collection can be adorned with custom platinum or gold décor.
Hand-blown from environmentally friendly lead-free crystal
Hand-cut and polished to a high gloss
Made using the glass underlay technique

Designer
Rudolf Eschler
In the 1930s, Rudolf Eschler was one of the most successful Moser designers. His work formed a significant part of several world expositions in Chicago, Bruxelles and Paris. The timelessness of Eschler’s work is also shown by the fact that, in addition to the Bar collection, his Culbuto line is also still in production. His perfume and liquor sets, recognisable by their strictly square shapes, are also highly prized by collectors and in auctions.
