hand cut underlay vase

  • the words of the designer: "I wanted to create the sister of vase Twist and I started thinking about how to make a spiral with beautiful colour and light refractions another way. The spirals are turning left and right, but by reversing the direction of the Twist I will not achieve substantial visual change. So I need to show both directions! I have to "twist" two spirals and somehow connect them. I began to plait and blend until I formed a vase with two spirals rotating against each other and connecting indefinitely in a hypnotic effect."

The secrets of work by hand

Crystal with tradition from 1857

Each and every Moser art piece requires hours, days, weeks and often months of hand processing in the hands of our master glassmakers. The secrets of glassmaking are traditionally passed down from generation to generation. Becoming a master glassmaker requires years of practice, a great deal of talent and considerable strength: – the glassmaker must hold vases or bowls weighing tens of kilograms while they work.
