Vessel bowl, 42 cm

Harmony in contrast

Product ID:

Milan Knížák reflects his passion for contrast in the Vessel bowl – soft and sharp, delicate and hard, harmony and tension. This theme of colliding contradictions has guided all his creations; it’s evident in his furniture, clothing, and drawings. But with Vessel, it steps into the foreground with unprecedented intensity.

“I’m convinced that an object designed in this way brings subtle tension into an interior, making it feel magical. And magical interiors can inspire us towards unordinary acts. There’s too much convention in this world, which is why slight deviations are both necessary and beautiful,” says Milan Knížák.

    Harmony in contrast

Vessel stands on the border between a sculpture and the applied arts. The main part of the bowl is made of clear crystal, and the decorative segments in the iconic Moser colours (alexandrite, beryl, eldor, and aquamarine) offer unexpected tonal combinations from different angles. Their changeability is then further emboldened by the hand-cut design. Standing 42 cm tall, Vessel becomes the obvious central point in any space, while not appearing too ostentatious. In fact, its strength comes from its balance between peace and energy.

    • Hand-blown from environmentally friendly lead-free crystal
    • Hand-cut and polished to a high gloss
    • Smoothly bonded using UV
