Escaping to nature? Homecoming

  • Soul of the forest

Closer to nature, naturalness. Closer to true values, to handcrafted work. Within the new Soul of the Forest Collection, designer and Art Director at Moser, Jan Plecháč, opened a new connection between nature and man. The harmony of flawless structures, earthy tones, and honest craftsmanship invokes a desire to be touched. It awakens pleasant emotions like when strolling through the forest.

“Our days are overwhelmed with technology, and people are missing that structured feeling. It’s my calling to saturate society in what it needs to experience,” says Jan Plecháč.

  • Conea

A delicate vase with a cut inspired by the Korean fir cone. “I’m fascinated by its flawless structure and wonderful purple-blue colour. It’s an intriguing contrast in the thick, forest-green vegetation,” says Jan Plecháč. Conea possesses a powerful internal energy, with either a matte or velvety finish. The horizontal cut plays a magical game with the sun’s rays.

  • Pinea

A crystal vase with the structure and colour of a pine tree. Its archetypal shape and smoky-green hue are familiar to us. “The world is cluttered with bright colours. That’s why I used a calm, earthy tone that I discovered in our historic portfolio,” explains the designer. The freedom of craftsmanship, as well as the master cutters’ soul and mood, is reflected in the dynamic cut. Thanks to them, every vase is unique.

  • Fungi

An elegant vase with a gentle cut of mushroom spores and a light-apricot colour. Perceiving its image is like reading an idyllic poem of nature. It’s distinguished by the cutters’ skill, who masterfully conveyed the mushroom's flawless architecture in the crystal. “The structure of a toadstool, for instance, is fascinating. Fungi invites you to run your fingers over it, to caress it,” adds the collection’s author.

  • Bark

A limited edition, elegant, and light drinkware set with a graceful vase. Its irregular, dynamic cuts evoke tree bark – natural and pleasant to the touch. “Drinking from a Bark glass is a ritual experience. I like holding it in my hand, feeling its structure, and looking it over, even with simple, clear water inside,” proclaims Jan Plecháč.

  • Microcosmos

This gentle, spellbinding vase is a masterful union between traditional art and modern design, with a new-age, authorial illustration. It depicts a microscopic perspective of the forest depths, a never-ending story.

“Microcosmos is like a virtuosic composition that gradually goes from the simplest of tones to the most challenging. From a natural material, to the work of the glassmakers and engravers, all the way to the noble charm of hands touching the finished piece,” describes the illustration’s author, Michal Bačák.
