Milan Tůma

He has been working in Moser since 1973

After completing his apprenticeship, he has been working in production as a glass cutter for almost 20 years. Afterward, he was chosen by Studio Moser for his skills and experience. He has worked on a number of significant pieces by Czech and foreign glass artists. In the Studio, he also brought to life unique projects, trophies and other extraordinary works of art.
"One of the most interesting experiences for me was the reconstruction of the vase which was designed by Ludvika Smrčková from 1924. The original vase was exhibited at the International Exhibition of Decorative Arts in Paris in 1925. It is a true masterpiece and a very demanding work. We worked on the vase with my colleague Miroslav Liška, and cutting alone took us more than a month of intense but beautiful work. The vase was redesigned to celebrate the 140th anniversary of the Moser glassworks. ”
