Jesse Eisenberg Visits Moser

Hollywood Star Captivated by the People Who Bring Crystal to Life

Karlovy Vary, July 8, 2026 – During his stay at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, Hollywood actor, screenwriter and director Jesse Eisenberg visited the Moser glassworks. His visitwas marked by a genuine interest in the Czech glassmaking tradition, but above all in the people behind it. He was fascinated that the same techniques, skills and values have been passeddown from one generation to the next here for 169 years.

During his tour of the hot shop and adjoining workshops, Eisenberg tried his hand at glassblowing, cutting and engraving. Curious about the level of skill required for each stage ofproduction, he also picked up a glassblower’s pipe to experience its weight firsthand. He spoke with each of Moser’s master craftsmen about how they found their profession, how long theyhad dedicated themselves to it, and what being part of Moser means to them.

One of the most memorable moments of the visit was his meeting with master engraver Tomáš Lesser, a Knight of the French Order of Arts and Letters. Eisenberg was so impressed by Lesser’s extraordinary craftsmanship and personal story that, after their conversation, he asked if they could have a photograph taken together.

It was an incredible honour to visit Moser, meet a true master of his craft like Tomáš Lesser, and witness so many people working together on a single work of art, each contributing withtheir own unique skills. It was astonishing to see how Moser has preserved the same craftsmanship and production process for nearly 170 years. Seeing the entire process with my own eyes was a truly exceptional experience, and being able to take home a beautiful piece from Moser—the most beautiful object I now own—made it even more special,” said Jesse Eisenberg.

To commemorate the visit, Jesse Eisenberg received a set of whisky glasses featuring a cut inspired by natural stones, while his wife was presented with Moser’s iconic pink Pear. Both weregenuinely delighted with the gifts and repeatedly remarked that they are now the most beautiful objects they own.

Another lasting symbol of this year’s festival for Jesse Eisenberg is the Crystal Globe, the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival’s main award, which is handcrafted each year at the Moser glassworks. During the visit, his wife shared that it is the most striking award he has ever received—and the only one they intend to display in their home. A special place is already waitingfor the Crystal Globe.

It was inspiring to see the humility and genuine curiosity with which Jesse Eisenberg explored our glassworks. He admired not only the beauty of crystal, but above all the people, theirexperience and their lifelong dedication to the craft. Our master craftsmen are the heart of Moser, and their stories are what give our crystal its true value. It is a great honour for us thatJesse leaves not only with admiration for our craft, but above all with a deep respect for the people who bring it to life every single day,” said Martin Dvořák, CEO of Moser.
