The Moser glass factory is a unique place where you can learn from the greatest stars in glassmaking – not only at the furnace, but in the grinding, cutting, engraving and painting workshops. We make everything by hand, just like 160 years ago, out of environmentally-friendly lead-free crystal. It is up to you whether you choose to measure up to the glassmaking legends or even to outdo them. Just like the top professional clubs in various fields, we too look after our staff and our young talent. We want our glassmakers to gain enjoyment from their work, and through their creations to pass on this enjoyment to everyone who appreciates the exclusivity of Moser crysta.l
Are you studying at glassmaking school? Do you have creative ideas for decorative cut and engraved glass? Our annual competition for the Ludwig Moser Award is designed for you.
František Jungvirt is one of the most original representatives of the younger generation of Czech glass artists. A student at the glass studio of the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design (UMPRUM) in Prague, he combines recent tendencies in contemporary design and visual art with traditional glassmaking approaches. Because the best join with the best, František Jungvirt has designed two innovative vase collections for Moser: Merano Pop, for which he has used an air-brush technique to paint ornamental patterns, and Merano Pop Rallye Light, which changes at night – thanks to the fluorescent colours, the vases take on unusual dimensions and will light up an interior both during the day and at night.
Moser, a.s. has a long history of working with the Secondary School of Applied Art in Karlovy Vary, at which it is possible to study glass design and glass making and decoration. Leavers receive immediate job offers with a recruitment bonus and the possibility of accommodation.
A passion for the glassmaking craft is often passed down through the generations. More important than genes, however, are manual dexterity, artistic talent, or entrepreneurial spirit with sales talent to work hard and the desire to achieve something. Since the time of Ludwig Moser, our motto has been “The only impossible thing is the one you don’t try to achieve.” If you are bold enough to become a member of the best glassmaking team in the world.
