Medical & Health Care Litigation

Sally L. Guemmer was the first paralegal hired at our firm. Since 1985 she has assisted with preparing the defense of medical liability cases.

Before joining Moser and Marsalek, P.C. she worked fora Chicago law firm specializing in administrative law with a particular emphasis on food, drug and medical device proceedings.

Ms. Guemmer has lectured to clients and the legal community on computer technology in the legal arena and the effective use of paralegals in litigation.  She has also co-authored written materials for seminars involving the preparation for witnesses for deposition and trial.

Ms. Guemmer currently volunteers her time reviewing medical research protocols as a member of the Human Studies Committee at Washington University.

Significant Accomplishments

Ms. Guemmer has developed expertise in computer software for decision analysis and provides training and consultation to clients and other counsel on implementing and utilizing this important litigation tool.

When Moser & Marsalek, P.C. undertook to completely redesign its physical office space, Ms. Guemmer was appointed to manage the project and worked closely with our architects and contractors to keep the project on time and within budget.

With her special interest in computer technology in litigation, Ms. Guemmer was instrumental in designing and implementing our case management computer software which has allowed our firm to better monitor and manage our files.
